Aroundtown secures long-term lease for around 1,300 sqm at Berlin’s Alexanderplatz

Restaurant, office and storage space at Alex One in Berlin-Mitte newly leased for 10 years

Aroundtown has secured a long-term new lease at its Alex One property, located at Alexanderstraße 1, 3, 5 in Berlin. The restaurant chain Asia Delight has signed a new 10-year lease and will open Dao, an all-you-can-eat restaurant, at Alexanderplatz. In total, nearly 1,300 sqm of restaurant, office and storage space has been let.

Alex One is situated in a prime central location directly at Alexanderplatz, one of Berlin’s most prominent addresses. In addition to the S-Bahn, Alexanderplatz station is served by regional trains operated by DB Regio and ODEG, as well as the Harz-Berlin-Express (HBX) on weekends. The U2, U5 and U8 underground lines also run through the station, alongside multiple tram and bus routes. As a centrally located transport hub, the site plays a key role in Berlin’s public transport network and experiences correspondingly high passenger volumes. Alexanderplatz is also exceptionally well connected to the city’s road network, with several major arterial roads leading to the outskirts of Berlin, including federal highways B1, B2 and B5.

The surrounding area is characterised by high footfall, strong tourism and the presence of major employers and well-known landmarks. The modern office space features ceiling heights of 2.80 to 3.00 metres, flexible layouts, chilled ceilings and internal sun shading.
