Office property in Frankfurt receives BREEAM certification

Aroundtown is continuing the sustainable development of its real estate portfolio: the office building at Galluspark 21-25 in Frankfurt am Main has been awarded with the BREEAM Green Building certificate. This further increases the proportion of green buildings in Aroundtown's portfolio.

The office complex, which is home to Deutsche Bahn AG, covers 43,000 square meters and is located in the Gallusviertel, a district with mixed office and residential use. The building at Galluspark has excellent transport links, with streetcar stops right outside the door and an S-Bahn station within walking distance. The property also has 600 parking spaces and is located in the immediate vicinity of Mainzer Landstrasse, one of Frankfurt's main traffic arteries, which connects the city center with the freeway network.

BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) is one of the leading international certification systems for environmentally friendly buildings and assesses the ecological footprint and sustainability of properties. The certification underlines the green focus of Aroundtown's office portfolio, which has already successfully achieved green building certificates in Frankfurt, Leipzig, Berlin and the Netherlands. The sustainable use and management of the property and BREEAM certification are key components of "green leases" and are also relevant to the sustainability goals of companies as tenants of commercial real estate.
